What this helps you do
Arrange groups and repeated props, or adjust a building’s openings.
When to use it
You need repeated furniture, a stable formation, or doors and windows in an interior.
Before you begin
Use the desktop app and check the edition requirement: Pro / active trial. The current published version is shown above. Confirm the selected item and playhead before changing anything. This audit does not verify a physical Windows device.
Step by step
Screenshots: Mac v1.7.0 Follow each step with the real app interface below. Select an image to enlarge the marked area.
- Use Shift or Command/Ctrl to select objects and create a group from the context menu. Check the member list first.
Figure 1 Group membership in the object list. Check which objects belong together. - Move, rotate or scale using the group pivot. Members preview together, and the edit commits on release. Confirm the result with one Undo.
Figure 2 Group properties. Group transforms and paths affect its members. - Use an array for repeated placement and check count, spacing and orientation. Distinguish a preview from an applied edit.
Figure 3 Group properties. Group transforms and paths affect its members. - Select the building and choose a wall, door, window or partition before editing its size or opening. Check the result from the camera.

Settings and edit scope
| Control or concept | Meaning and boundary |
|---|---|
| Group | An object belongs to one group at a time. The group pivot is not necessarily a member’s geometric center. |
| Building | Openings are constrained by their wall and building dimensions. Hiding a wall is not the same as adding a door. |
Check the result
Members retain their formation, edits are reversible, and openings are on the intended walls.
Troubleshooting and recovery
A group path drives the formation. Avoid conflicting movement sources on the same member.
If the result is unexpected, stop playback, check the selected item and time, and use Undo before making another change. Keep a backup rather than repeatedly overwriting the project.
