What this helps you do
Use diagnostics as inspection cues rather than a promise of automatic fixes.
When to use it
Overlap, occlusion, framing or binding problems need to be located before making further edits.
Before you begin
Use the desktop app and check the edition requirement: Basic review / Pro tools. The current published version is shown above. Confirm the selected item and playhead before changing anything. This audit does not verify a physical Windows device.
Step by step
Screenshots: Mac v1.7.0 Follow each step with the real app interface below. Select an image to enlarge the marked area.
- Play the affected interval and identify the character, camera or object involved.
- 1Camera preview is active
Figure 1 Switch to Camera to check the camera image, separately from the free editing view. - Open Diagnostics and inspect overlap, floating props, framing, occlusion or missing-binding warnings.
Figure 2 Issue categories and entries in Diagnostics. Check each issue against the actual image before fixing it. - Locate the relevant item and confirm the warning against the image before fixing it manually or using an entitled helper tool.
Figure 3 Issue categories and entries in Diagnostics. Check each issue against the actual image before fixing it. - Replay the same interval after the fix. Undo an accidental change or recover from a snapshot or complete bundle when necessary.

Settings and edit scope
| Control or concept | Meaning and boundary |
|---|---|
| Diagnostics | Rule-based checks, not a complete physics simulation or artistic judgment. |
| Recovery | Undo, version snapshots and external backups serve different purposes. Keep a copy of current work first. |
Check the result
The specific issue improves without unintentionally changing unrelated objects, cameras or intervals.
Troubleshooting and recovery
A helper may not fix every issue. After a failure, inspect what actually ran before repeating the operation.
If the result is unexpected, stop playback, check the selected item and time, and use Undo before making another change. Keep a backup rather than repeatedly overwriting the project.
