Rehearse framing and movement
Make camera position, actor movement and timing work together.
Frame deliberately
Choose from extreme close-up, close-up, medium shot, full shot and wide shot. Adjust focal length and distance, then check the actual composition in the camera preview.
Build a moving shot
Use camera keyframes and movement presets to plan dollies, lateral moves, rises and orbits. Arrange actor blocking on the same timeline, then play the sequence to judge timing.
- Frame a person at eye, chest or body level as appropriate.
- Use shot/reverse-shot and over-the-shoulder setups for dialogue.
- Choose landscape or portrait framing for the intended delivery.
Refine the cut
Split and arrange shots, inspect the first and last frames, and review continuity. A camera move and a lens zoom create different spatial effects; use the preview to judge the result.
